Transpose any tab (not the chords!) by lowering or increasing the fret number by the specified number of semitones while maintaining the same format. There are two ways in which you can transpose a tab: key or tuning.
By key means that the key will change and you'll hear different pitchs. Want to play a song in a different key? This is what you need.
By tuning means that the instrument tuning will change and the tab will be transposed accordingly to produce the same pitch as before. Want to change a D-standard tab to drop D? Use this option.
The transposer will do the best job it can to preserve the tab format but keep in mind that in order to do this, the tab has to be well-formatted. Also, it's possible that the pitch that needs to be played is out of range. Those notes will be specified with special symbol (@).
